The CT State Community College is developing a pool of applicants for potential part-time teaching positions for the non-credit course offerings in the Green Jobs or Sustainability fields.
Classes may be taught on ground and/or online. Please take a look at our website to find out more about each of our campuses. CT State CC-Campuses
Courses include the following:
- Asbestos abatement instructor
- Lead consultant instructor
- Clean Energy -
- Solar
- Offshore wind
- Renewable thermal
- Fields that support the energy workforce including utility arborists
- Building energy conservation
- Insulation Technician
- Building automation systems
- Water treatment and management
- Sustainability
- Hydroponics
- Waste and resource management
These positions are on continuous recruitment, and are filled on an as-needed basis, depending on course offerings, enrollment and specific department needs. You will only be contacted if there is a current need at the college you indicated on your application and have met the qualifications/skills and experience that are required for the position. Position Summary:
CSCU is developing a pool of applicants for potential part-time teaching positions in the Continuing Education and Workforce Development within the non-credit division at the College. The Non-Credit Lecturer must meet all teaching expectations, as outlined by the Director of Workforce Development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree and/or Industry Certifications
- Related work experience
Candidates must possess proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students. Experience with reflective, interactive, culturally responsive pedagogical teaching techniques. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior community college teaching experience.
- Practical experience in the related Workforce Education industry for which you are applying.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the industry trends and workforce needs.
Commensurate with specific course, location & demand.
